Scope and Contents
This scrapbook was prepared from photographs by various Costa Ricans and presented to P. P. Calvert, November 1918 by José M. Tristan, whose presentation letter is included. News clippings from Costa Rican newspapers and a few American papers have been pasted in. Photographs are by J. Fidel Tristan. who made a speciality of volcanic photography. His pictures, published in Pittier's account of the Cartaga eruption in National Geographic, 1910. José M. Tristan and Ricardo Fernandez Peralta....
